Pass By: Sihlquai, Sihlstrasse 41, 8005 Zürich, Switzerland
Depart central Zurich or Zurich airport by comfortable coach and journey into northern Switzerland close to the German border. As you travel, pass pretty farming villages and vineyards, and hear from your guide how this beautiful region is known for its wine production.
Stop At: Rhine Falls, Rheinfallquai, Neuhausen am Rheinfall 8212 Switzerland
Arrive at 15th-century Laufen Castle, set on a clifftop facing the Rhine Falls, and take in the 450-foot (150-meter) wide and 75-foot (23-meter) high falls, Europe’s biggest.
Enjoy an hour here to see an exhibition, admire panoramic views from the glass elevator, or walk to the viewpoints above and around the falls to thrill at their roar and power. The site also has a playground, shops and restaurants. Perhaps opt for a boat ride (Subject to availability and not included in price) to experience the crashing cascades close up.
Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes
Pass By: Munotstieg 17 8200 Schaffhausen, Schaffhausen 8200 Switzerland

Stop At: Oberstadt 3, Stein am Rhein 8260 Switzerland
Here, follow your guide on an hour-long walk around the cobbled Old Town to see the top landmarks, and admire the timber-frame townhouses with their stunning frescoes. Hear how most houses date to the Renaissance, and are built from stone inlaid with delicate wood windows.

My family of 4 went for this 1/2 day tour. Excellent guide and driver. Everyone enjoyed it very much. Nice explanation on the way.
Bus location is quit easy to find. Public transit is the least expensive way to get to the bus terminal. Our taxi ride was costly. We really enjoyed the scenic ride to the falls. The Rhine falls are really beautiful.... not huge.. but still beautiful. Lots of stairs to climb at the falls. The town of Stein am Rhein is picturesque and lovely. I would recommend this tour to others. It is relaxing and easy going.
Switzerland has so many wonderful and beautiful natural scenery. This tour highlighted one that is little known but well worth the time taken.
This tour was well worth the cost. Our guide was very informative and kept up commentary on the local surroundings. On the drive to the falls he explained about where we were going and what we would be seeing. At Rhine Falls he first led us down to the boat so that we could take a ride up close to the cascading falls. We then were given ample time on our own to explore the falls from the multiple vantage points. We then boarded the bus for a short trip to Stein am Rhein, a medieval village. Again we were given an hour or so to explore the town on our own. The sights included stunning frescoes on many timber frame houses. We would definitely recommend this tour.
Rhine Falls was beautiful, don't expect Niagra, but the photo platforms well done and a lift from river level back up to bus level. Stein am Rhein was a beautiful quintessential 14 - 17th century town. about a 2 block long wide inviting area, all comfortable shops. wish we could have stayed longer. Tour particulars, as bus, guide, pick up an drop off very well gone. We'll take more from Viator
