Over deze activiteit

Op deze bustocht voor kleine groepen door Washington DC hoort u verhalen waar iedereen van kan genieten, van grootouders tot kleinkinderen en ook bezoekers uit andere landen. Tijdens de 7 uur durende tour brengt u 10 tot 20 minuten door op elke locatie. Nadat u wat geweldige verhalen uit de Amerikaanse geschiedenis hebt gehoord, helpen gidsen de gasten om foto's te maken, waarna er een paar minuten vrij kan worden rondgezworven.
Op de volgende locaties vertelt de DC-gids u de verhalen achter elk van deze Amerikaanse schatten: het Capitool, het Witte Huis, het National World War II Memorial, het Thomas Jefferson Memorial, het Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, het Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, het Korean War Memorial, het Lincoln Memorial, het Vietnam Veteran's Memorial, het Marine Corps War Memorial, het United States Air Force Memorial, en meer.
Omdat de groepen klein zijn, kan de route soms worden gewijzigd op basis van de wensen van de gasten die dag, vooral als uw familie, vrienden of gezelschap de enige gasten van die dag zijn. Afhankelijk van de groep kan ook de lunch per dag verschillen. Soms zal de groep de lunch in een restaurant eten, een andere gewoon iets bij een stalletje halen en doorgaan. Soms worden de volgende locaties in de tour opgenomen: het Capitool (binnenin het gebouw), de Library of Congress, het Hooggerechtshof, het bezoekerscentrum van het Witte Huis, het National Museum Building, het John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Embassy Row, de National Cathedral, of een van de vele fantastische musea, vooral als het slecht weer is.

This was a great personal tour of DC. The small bus group made all the difference. We were able to ask questions of our fantastic driver and he even squeezed in an additional location for us. It was a busy day in DC with lots of honor flight groups (veterans) but our driver got us in and out of each location. As with all tours, please make sure you're on time getting back to the bus and remember to tip your driver at the end!

I booked this tour for my mother and I because she is 86 and uses a walker. The bus is small compared to the greyhounds, but it was the main reason why I chose it and to spend more money. My mother could see things even if it was too far for her to walk, (it is also the reason I take a lot of pictures). If she did get out to see a memorial even though she is not the fastest, everyone waited. We were given a time allotment, so the most anyone waited was 5 minutes. I took into account distance etc. Our driver was very knowledgeable, and I would not hesitate to book this tour again.

Our tour was on the Bipartisan Tours bus. Our guide was very knowledgeable of all the landmarks and memorials we visited. He was friendly, courteous and made our tour very interesting and unforgettable. The 15 passenger bus was comfortable and easy for seniors to get in and out. Because it was a small group we were able to cover more places and spend time taking pictures and stop long enough for us to have lunch. I highly recommend this tour.

I cannot say enough about this fabulous tour. Worth every penny and more. We had our own personal guide and really had a chance to learn and experience so much.
