The tour was very intersting, went to three different places. First was a restaurant where food was mostly fish and sea food, second was a place of fugu blowfish, and the third was mainly horse. All the three places were really japanese filled with japanese people, not tourists. Food was very good and exotic as promised, and our guide Mack was very kind.

This was such a cool tour! The food we tried was a bit strange and bizarre, but it's something I would never have tried anywhere else. I also don't think any other tour company in Japan offers this type of tour. It seems this company has very interesting tours not just this one so I recommend checking out some of the other tour options too. This tour was in Ginza area. The company provided clear information on where to meet the tour guide and the tour guide took us to a few restaurants to try some interesting foods like conger eel sushi, horse meat and she even gave us the option to try whale meat even though that is considered very controversial which she explained why it's so controversial and common in Japan. We opted to try whale meat which was interesting to us but it may not be for everyone. You can decide if you want to have it or not. The only thing is that the portions for the local food are small but I think that way we get to try a lot of different types of food and to be honest I liked it better this way because I get full very easily and I liked being able to try so many things. It also helped that we had some other regular and traditional Japanese food like yakitori so I didn't feel like I was just having a meal of all food I have never had before. I also liked how attentive the tour guide was. She was amazing in explaining everything from the history of the food and area to why Japanese people enjoy these types of food. This was a very fun and interesting tour. It is also a very small group tour so we were able to ask the tour guide any questions we wanted and it was great that we were able to go on our own pace, not feeling rushed like when we are on other bigger group tours that we booked in Japan. I would like to come back and join another tour from this company one day. Thanks guys for the great time.
