Over deze activiteit
Meet your guide in central Split and head for the port to catch a ferry to Solta Island. On the way, hear all about this sleepy island known for its olive, honey and wine.
Admire the views of the Adriatic Sea on the roughly 1-hour cruise and, on arrival at Solta, collect your electric bicycle for your tour. Get a safety briefing and instructions, put on your helmet, and set off in a guide-led convoy.
Ride into the open countryside, enjoying the ease of almost effortless cycling. Pass through landscapes laden with maquis and olive groves, and absorb the laid-back pace and beauty of this unspoilt island. If time allows, and depending on the weather and your group's preference, perhaps pause at one of Solta’s pretty coves for a quick swim.
Make your first stop at a traditional family-run farm known for its winemaking and olive growing. Head inside and enjoy a typical island lunch, starting with a welcome drink of a homemade liqueur.
Savor a delicious appetizer of homemade bread with extra virgin olive oil, anchovies and olive pâte; and then dig into marinated blue fish and octopus pasta, followed by scrumptious Dalmatian rozata (crème caramel). Wash down your food with dobričić red wine as you hear how it’s considered the ‘grandfather’ of Croatia’s beloved plavac mali wine.
Following lunch, return to your bike and continue to a beekeeping estate. Meet the owner and enjoy a presentation on the art of beekeeping, learning about the life of bees and watching these busy creatures at work in a glass beehive.
Sample some home-produced honey, and if you wish, try some of the farm’s fresh pollen, royal jelly or propolis — a natural, bee-made compound said to have healing properties.
Then, say your goodbyes and cycle back to the harbor for your ferry to Split, where your tour ends at the port.

Miro was a wonderful and very safe guide for our lovely day on the Island of Soltas. The trip to Tvdic Bee Farm was amazing. The owner's passion for bees and the magical properties of their honey, pollen, propolis and royal jelly was intoxicating. We have already sent him a batch of honey from our home town. The hospitality of the couple who shared their home for lunch and the food that was served was excellent. Miro was passionate about his bikes, the beauty of Croatia and shared his love openly and candidly about his nation's past and future. Our day exceeded our expectations. The electric bikes were great for two out of shape 50 somethings. :
what a beautiful day started with a lovely rep who escorted us to Miro and his bikes. Miro was as patient as a saint as its been a while since we have been on a bike. Miro took us to the beekeeper which was so interesting and delicious of course and then on to the wine and olive tasting. after a sumptuous lunch and wonderful interesting day Miro escorted us back to our hotel. In one sentence gentle, sweet unspoilt Solta I will go back again and I hope Miro will be our escort, interesting and kind man
