This tour is a must. David, the guide, is so passionate about his subject and you relive the film through his enthusiasm.
It was so much fun and so interesting! The guide did a fantastic job and got the people involved. I would recommend this to everyone!
The tour was really good experience with guide elaborating detailed part of movie and what was a true story. The sceenic beauty of Salzburg is another point to remember.
Rainy day in Salzburg but the atmosphere on the bus was light and fun. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared videos as we traveled. Had time at a couple stops to get out, get pictures and really take in the scenery. Wonderful!!
Great Tour! Ann Marie was AWESOME! Would give this 5 stars. Very personable and gave us a lot of information that we never new about.
Lovely day and experience. The bus video was sketchy though and the guide was barely inaudible outside of the bus. Still... How can you go wrong with The Sound of Music anything?
Well versed guide took the bus (full) to see the sights from filming and explained multiple details. Magnificent scenery that is Austria carried the day. a "must see" for fans of film and we recommend you Watch it again before you go as a refresh. Typical your in that you are on/off the bus several times, and are dropped by one sight long enough to run through gift shops are get a coffee. A tour for all ages but our bus was mostly people who were young when movie came out.
Excellent tour. Our guide, Alinka, was superb. She knew everything any tourist would want to know and then some. If you are a fan, I would highly recommend this tour.
Great time, very informative, yet lively and fun. The hours pass fast and you see a great deal of the movie locations but also a lot of Salzburg during the drive.
Christina was an excellent host and the trip was breathtaking. The coach was very comfortable and the pace really good - perfect settings......just perfect.
One of the reason to visit Austria is the sound of the music, hence I join the original one. The tour guide (I forgot the name, start with E...)was very nice, funny and beautiful, she shared lots of things about the sound of music, and during the trip, we can listen all the songs of the sound of the music with good atmosphere, we sing together, out of my expectation is bring us to the wolfgangsee, very beautiful in a sunny day. I was touching because I went to many place for taking that film, seem dream come true, thanks the tour
I found the tour to be a bit rushed and you never got time to spend much time looking at any one thing. Half the tour is spent traveling out to Mondsee to see the Church but, although the scenery was very nice, we barely had time to see the church and grab the much anticipated apply strudel. Personally I think the tour might be better if broken into two parts. Do a walking tour of the locations close to Salzburg, which might allow you to get up closer to the house and spend more time at other locations. Then do a coach trip to Mondsee and allow more time.
We had a great time and loved our guide. She had a wonderful singing voice and led us all in group sing-alongs. I wish I could remember her name.
Loved it! Our tour guide was excellent! Funny, witty and insightful! She made it a wonderful experience!
Leo was fun and excellent in our tour. We were so happy that he showed us the scenes of the Sound of Music and were singing during the tour.
Our Guide Peter was terrific...showing his knowledge and doing it with a humorous flair! Our driver was also very helpful and engaging as he navigated the narrow roads with ease. We really had a great time.
Ida, the tour guide, even got my teenage child to crack a smile and enjoy it - it was a great tour, covering the major locations and scenes. The behind the scenes discussions about what happened on set were great as well. Both Ida and Ferdinand the driver were some of the best tour guides we have had on multiple tours across several countries this trip. Great job guys!
We really enjoyed this tour. Was able to watch video clips of the movie when riding in the bus. Guide was very knowledgeable about the various locations and how it was filmed. A good overview of background and history of the movie. Also some interesting anecdotes.
Overall a good tour but the group is huge and not personalize. If this is not an issue then this would works. You must adore the movie to really feel this tour and if you are not think like a trip around salzburg and the Lake District.
A very exciting tour, guide was knowledgable and full of wits.We lived that era.Never new how the film was made and it was inspired by a true happenings.
Excellent, would recommend to others. A must for all. Bus clean guide very knowable. fun trip see city and mountians.
This is a great tour especially if you loved the movie. The Von Trapp Villa is beautiful. The ride to Mondsee where the church is was breathtaking. The church is gorgeous. It was a fun four hours well worth it.
This was a brilliant tour. Not only do you get to visit the sites you saw in the film (and they do look like they were in the film) but you also get a few snippets of additional insight. PLUS you get to sing along to the songs. It is also a chance to enjoy the scenery of the lakes and mountains around Salzburg
David our tour guide was personal, funny and informative. He kept everyone engaged despite the drizzly weather. The trip to Mondsee to see the wedding site from the movie was lovely. And no one complained about my terrible singing. Dragon our driver did an awesome job.
Excellent tour of the city of Salzburg intertwining Sound of Music with the rich city history! Tour guide Ida was fantastic!
We had the best time on this major bucket list tour that didn’t disappoint. Our guide was animated, knowledgeable and kept us all singing and laughing. Sonia was terrific!
Actually it was April and we had a great time on the tour. Lots of fun and neat sights to be seen. I would definitely recommend April and this tour.
Tour is well done! Both our driver (Igor?) And guide Ida were friendly and entertaining. Tour allowed several stops and a bit of time for lunch and browsing through quaint shops.
A very enjoyable and interesting tour. Our guide Peter is the best and was very informative. During the tour we saw parts of the film and we even sang along. For someone who saw Sound of music this tour is a must.because he gets to see places where the film was filmed.
Thanks to our guide Christina, our Sound of Music tour was excellent. Unfortunately it was a very snowy, rainy day so views of the lakes were limited. We nevertheless enjoyed all the tales Christina told us, true and movie created.
Lovely tour and beautiful scenery. Tour guide Peter was knowledgeable and friendly. Great way to spend 4 hours
The tour was fine but due to early sunset the visit to the church and lake happened in almost total darkness. Tour group should move up start time or reverse tour order for winter departures.
