After discussing the origin and historical impact of macarons, you will follow your local guide through the ancient streets of the Saint-Germain quarter. After stopping at five macaron shops, including the oldest and newest boutiques in Paris, you will finish the tour by partaking in a judging activity. Using fun and valid categories you'll have a chance to see for yourself where the best macarons in Paris can be found. Compare with your friends, and if you want you can convert the provided special judging sheet to a picture frame to post your experience on social media.

Our family really wanted this tour to be awesome, and the macaroons WERE good... but the overall experience could have been so much better. The area we walked for this tour was beautiful... but we learned very little about the history of the place or any interesting details from our guide. All 5 macaroon stores were also extremely close to one another, so it was not much more than a walk around a block or two. Unfortunately, left this feeling it this was way overpriced for what was delivered.

My wife and I loved this tour.....we got to taste macarons from 5 different shops.....visiting the shops was great fun, our guide was full of great information and a pleasure to be with. At the end we taste tested all our macarons.....we won't tell you our favorites...it was a very difficult choice....needless to say, we ate every last one of them.....We highly recommend this tour....

Amazing Macarons, beautiful area of Paris. Macarons were excelllent. Finished off the tour with a tasting in the park.

This was a fun tour, especially for kids. The tour guide was very good at directing conversation to my 10-yr old, and she loved the fact that she got 5 macarons plus some of mine in one setting. We walked around St Germain and learned some history of the area and went to 5 different macaron patisseries and got a little info about each. Then, we went to a cafe that our guide had booked and we sat and tasted all 5 2 flavours at each, that we shared between the 2 people in my group at one time so that we could compare various characteristics.
