Ontdek de Conciergerie, op het Île de la Cité. Dit indrukwekkende monument is de voormalige Parijse zetel van het Hof van Justitie met uitzicht op de Seine. De Conciergerie, aanvankelijk een Koninklijk Paleis en een zetel van het Hof van Justitie van de Franse monarchie, werd vervolgens een gevangenis van het revolutionair tribunaal waar Marie-Antoinette gevangen werd gezet.
De Sainte-Chapelle, de onlangs gerestaureerde en intieme kapel uit de 13e eeuw, ligt op een steenworp afstand van de Conciergerie. Het is een waar juweeltje van Franse gotische architectuur. Gerangschikt over vijftien ramen van elk 15 meter hoog, beelden de glas-in-loodramen 1113 scènes uit het Oude en het Nieuwe Testament uit, waarmee de geschiedenis van de wereld tot de aankomst van de relikwieën in Parijs de revue passeert.

We knew we'd done the right thing as soon as we saw the line for tickets outside the entrance! We walked right in, and then saw a second line outside the actual ticket booth. Again we walked right into the church. Having the combo ticket with the Conciergerie was a bonus--there are notlines there, but we probably wouldn't have gone in. It was very interesting and glad we saw it.

This was such a beautiful chapel. It was a great alternative to Notre Dame, as its on the same island. The stained glass was still original and beautiful. I'd never heard of it before, but I'm so glad we went!!

The STL tickets were terrific - we had a convenient separate entry line. This was a self guided tour of both Sainte Chapelle and Concierge, but we were able to purchase headphones for further explanations. Both places were beautiful and we were pleased we were able to visit them.

We were able to go straight to the front of a very long line for Sainte Chapelle. These tickets were worth it for this site. Thankfully there was no one at the Conciergerie. I would recommend buying this skip-the-line ticket.

I would NOT recommend this particular tour!! We never found the correct location to pick up our tickets. The location that came up was Hotel Sully when we Googled the address. Upon arriving at Hotel Sully, there were no signs, all doors were locked and the two people in the security office had no idea what we were talking about. So we headed to Ile d'la Cite hoping to find another ticket office. We walked all over the entire island and never found such a building. As a result, we re-purchased Saint Chapelle tickets which was absolutely amazing! We did not see the Conciergerie, we were not able to go into Notre Dame or take the inside tour of the l'Arc de Triomphe. We were highly upset and disappointed that these major location were taken off our itinerary even though we had already paid for these tickets that we were ultimately not able to obtain.
