Deze shoppingtour naar het New York Garment Center is een must voor shoppers die een van de laatste groothandelscentra in New York in actie willen zien. U bezoekt de gebouwen van wereldberoemde ontwerpers, die met hun werk een stempel drukken op de mode wereldwijd. Ook gaat u met uw gids ook naar de beroemdste trim store ter wereld. Dit is de perfecte ochtendtour voor fashionistas, koopjesjagers die op zoek zijn naar 'betere kleding' en degenen die gewoon nieuwsgierig zijn naar mode.

Het best bewaarde geheim op modegebied wacht u met toegang tot zes showrooms die anders uitsluitend zijn voorbehouden aan de detailhandel en monsterverkopen waar u anders niets van wist. Geen restanten van het vorige seizoen! Profiteer van designerkleding en de 'betere mode' voor dames vanaf 50-80% onder de winkelprijs. Wie weet, ziet u nog designers aan het werk in hun eigen wereld.

Te midden van alle designerdeals en -koopjes vertelt uw shoppingexpert over de geschiedenis van de wijk en wordt u gewezen op bijzondere attracties in de buurt, zoals M&J Trimmings, een van de beroemdste trim stores ter wereld, die in de New York Times en het tijdschrift Martha Stewart Living heeft gestaan. Ook krijgt u te horen waar Mood Fabrics te vinden is, bekend uit de populaire realityshow Project Runway als dé plek om stofjes te halen.

Wanneer de tour eindigt, kunt u gewoon doorgaan met de koopjesjacht. U krijgt een lijst met monsterverkopen van de dag, die u zelfstandig kunt bezoeken. U bent nu een insider in de modebranche!

We had a phenomenal morning and would recommend this Garment District tour for a shopping spree. Our guide Camber was knowledgeable and gracious and we enjoyed every single showroom we visited. Our favorites showrooms had silk and cashmere sportswear and one with kimonos and scarves. Not only were there wonderful items to buy there (And unlike in a store, we got to see their entire line), but the designer spent time discussing how she got started in this challenging biz. Fun and Fruitful morning and we Recommend!

Expected more for the money - only second rate fashion houses on offer, very disappointing. The bag shop we went to was very disappointing, would not recommend this tour to anyone.

I dont generally speak for my wife as she is more than capable of speaking for herself but I am writing this review because I bought this tour as part of a 25th wedding anniversary present to her. Since this tour is strictly for womens apparel, I was basically a tag along / bag holder / wallet bearer. In spite of being the only man on the tour, my wife and I both had a blast. We got to go into studios and see a little of the fashion industry behind the scenes, and we got to meet several of the designers first hand. Keeve was a superb tour guide. She kept us entertained and informed and she kept us moving through Garment District. This tour is definitely not your typical couples tour, but if you are looking to do a way to do some very cool and one of kind shopping, this is your bag.

This was a super fun trip. Our tour guide was super fun and did a great job! My only complaint was that a few of the stops were not that great. One place had an amazing showroom, but only let a picture from a VERY small section. It seemed pointless and we saw a bunch of really cute stuff that we could not buy. We also had a stop to a trunk show that was super picked over by the time we got there. The first 2 places were amazing and they basically made the trip worthwhile.

Only worth doing if you have plenty of spare cash!! Got to see designers in their studios and parts of New York you wouldn't normally see but the samples were more expensive than we thought and only took cash! We wanted some history - maybe a different tour?

I loved the tour. The description should include the fact that some of the showrooms required cash and did not take credit cards. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We did encounter one showroom where the staff was rude and unorganized but the company gave us a list of other sample sales to do. Nice
