Our guide Steve was very informative and entertaining guide. Together with a lot of interesting stories we tasted a lot of delicious drink and food. I have been to borough market several times but I knew a lot of things through the tour. People who joined the tour was fantastic too and I was very glad to join. This is highly recommended.
Steve our guide was wonderful and a wealth of knowledge. With an Australian connection also. Food was great and did not finish hungry. Worth the day trip from Paris. Give it a go as you will not have any regrets.
This is a wonderful tour. Our tour guide David was very knowledgeable, and great fun which added to the wonderful sampling of good food and drink. We did this tour at the end of our stay and looking back I would highly recommend it at the beginning as you can go back and further enjoy the food. We'll be back and well worth the money. Thank you
This was an excellent tour. Ella was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour fun. My family and I walked away with a greater appreciation for English food and London
This was probably the highlight of my trip! Our tour guide was super sweet, found us all the delicious food under the bridge, AND she knew so much history! I learned more in that tour than I did in the other no-food, boring tour guides I hired prior to her. Would go a thousand times again! This is a priority must do if you visit London!!
Went on the food tour upon arriving in London and thoroughly enjoyed. Started with egg and bacon sandwiches, followed by fish and chips, sausage rolls along with donuts and pudding, among other things. Everything was delicious-all at the Borough Market.
Brilliant experience our guide Matt, was very informative and fun. We had a great time and enjoyed all the different food selections.
A great introduction to Borough Market. A good way to sample what's on offer. Then you can revisit again later at your own pace. Highly recommended
Borough market is phenomenal! The absolute BEST fish and chips I have ever tasted! History, great views, great food and WILL! What more could a traveler ask for?
Enjoyed the tour and the food sampling. Our guide Mat was veryinformative, and helpful as we were late in arriving due to parking problems etc, he helped with info. for us to catch up.It was good to sample the various food and drink sold in thearea. A pleasant few hours.
This was a wonderful experience -- even on a rainy day in May 2018! We were introduced to Borough Market near London Bridge, Pickfords Wharf, the Mug House, and the surrounding South Bank area. It was a small group only 4 of us, so very personal attention from our guide not now recalling her name, but who was a delight, and we had plenty of opportunity to explore and taste on our own as well as a group. A great way to experience a part of London that we all know is there, but don't quite know how to access. If you wish to explore London not in a typical touristy way, book this foody, walking tour -- you'll feel like a local!
Food tours really get you to the heart of the city. WE concentrated in and around Borough Market. There were the actual growers of the food and the wholesalers. On the other side of this huge market were all those who prepared this very fresh food and served it to the customers. Our guide took us through the markets, we engaged with the purveyors and tasted good sized portions of 7 or 8 foods and beverages. All were excellent. The guide was very personable and familiar with the food servers and preparers. She knew the history of the area. Small group made it fun. Highly recommend his tour.
This was a great tour. My husband and I really enjoy the market and all the food. It was so helpful to have a tour guide to point out the best foods to try. From what I read on other reviews, our tour guide wasn't as informative about London history, but he still did a good job. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Took the afternoon tour and it turned out we were the only ones scheduled so it became a private tour. Our guide was Chris and he was great! We started the tour by crossing the street and within 2 minutes we were seated and great food was arriving at our table. There were a number of different dishes including fish and chips, scotch eggs, sticky toffee pudding, cheese plate, beer and cider and a donut for dessert. There was so much food I'm not sure I've remembered it all. We had a chance to spend time in the Borough Market and worked in some of the history of London as we walked around and Chris pointed out a number of sites that you may not see during a typical tour. We came hungry, we left full and Chris gets 5 stars from us for a great tour!
