Maak van dichtbij kennis met deze katachtigen in de Lion Habitat Ranch (leeuwenranch) dicht bij Las Vegas. Op deze ranch van 3,4 hectare leven nu de leeuwen die vroeger in het MGM Lion Habitat werkten. Sinds het begin van de jaren 90 biedt dit toevluchtsoord plaats aan meer dan 40 leeuwen en hun schattige welpen. Het team van de ranch zorgt voor deze dieren die de rest van hun leven hier mogen doorbrengen en schenkt een deel van de inkomsten aan gebieden waar wilde leeuwen leven. Loop over de geplaveide paden om ongehinderd deze enorme katten te bekijken die luieren, spelen en slapen in hun leefgebied. U kunt ook kiezen voor een van de volgende upgrades om uw ervaring nog indrukwekkender te maken.
Tour achter de schermen met een kleine groep
Als u deze jagers eens van een andere kant wilt zien, kies dan voor een tour achter de schermen. Tijdens deze tour die is beperkt tot 10 personen, beantwoorden professionele trainers al uw vragen over het opvoeden en temmen van leeuwen. Nadat u meer hebt gehoord over de organisatie van het toevluchtsoord, verkent u het terrein tijdens een rondleiding met gids. Kijk hoe de koningen van de jungle hun welpen voeden, trainen en baden.

What a hidden gem. We used to be sure to stop by the MGM hotel to see the lions there, but they closed that exhibit down in 2012. What struck me about this place was the cleanliness and palpable love for these animals that the trainers had. You can just tell when someone speaks animal, and these people do. The most important thing to the wonderful people here is the health and happiness of their animals. Highest recommendation! Also, the behind the scenes tour has a lot less people trying to get the attention of the lions - after our tour, there were large groups of kids laughing at the lions, who were grumbling back at them - found the kids annoying and wondering where the parents were - only to sadly realize, they were right next to them doing the same thing. Too bad you can't pass a test before you're allowed to be with these majestic beasts. Do yourself a favor and visit this place - but please be respectful of the big kitties!

My family and I enjoyed our visit to the lion habitat. It has more than just lions there, you can see birds, ostriches, and giraffes. My daughter had the opportunity to feed the giraffe while petting him. That was her highlight of the day. It was awesome to when they feed the lions because all of them start to roar, and it can be heard throughout the entire facility. If you a family traveling in Las Vegas, this is a must see.

It was fun,we got there on Benny the Lion's third birthday and we were able to catch his birthday party and watch him get his piñata, I.also got to hand feed a giraffe and we were able to watch them feed the lions and the Cubs

Amazing!! Staff very knowledgeable about the animals in their care. Cute baby giraffe that paints a must see. I highly recommend this tour to everyone! Price may seem a bit high but when you see what it takes to care for these beautiful animals on a daily basis, the donation is well worth the price!
