The ancient fort of Blackness portrays Fort William.

Stop At: Doune Castle, Castle Hill, Doune, Stirling FK16 6EA Scotland

No Outlander tour is complete without visiting the Doune Castle which portrays Castle Leoch in the Outlander Series. It also featured in Monty Python 'The Holy Grail' and 'The Outlaw King'.

We visit the historic town of Falkland which doubled as Inverness in Outlander. We also use this stop for lunch.

Culross is a village that dates back to 600AD and doubles as Crainsmuir in Outlander. This is the home of Geillis Duncan and the Mercat Cross.

A wonderful highlight of our first trip to Scotland! Our guide Ross was friendly and knowledgeable, and kept us entertained over the course of the day. We visited Midhope castle, Blackness castle, Linlithgow Palace, Doune castle, and the beautiful towns of Falkland and Culross. Despite the shorter hours of daylight in the winter time we managed to fit all these places in pretty quickly and met some wonderful people along the way. There was ample opportunity to stop and take photos, check out the souvenir stores and ask any questions we had about both Outlander and Scotland in general. The ease of being picked up/dropped off really helped, particularly as our hotel wasn't very close to the central train station. Overall, would highly recommend this tour to any Outlander fan.
